The Boys Scrape out a Close Playoff Victory

The Broncos were able to pull off a win in a close game last night in order to advance to the next round in the CIF playoffs. Thanks to a central section rule that ended up working out in their favor, the Broncos were able to host their first game in the playoffs, which undoubtedly helped them pull off the W.

The Scorpions took a 13-12 lead going into the second quarter, but the Broncos didn’t stay down for long, taking a 35-26 lead going into the second half of play. Despite getting outscored in the third and fourth quarters, 17-15 and 19-18, the Broncos managed to stay out in front of Desert and finished the game by a final score of 68-62.

As for what comes next, the Broncos will hit the road on Friday, where they will take on the Firebaugh Eagles at 6 pm. If the Broncos win that game, they will go on to play the winner of the Orange Cove – Riverdale game in the semifinals.
