Broncos Blowout Frazier At Home 24-2

The Frazier Mountain Falcons came into town yesterday looking to be the first team to beat the Broncos at home this season, but instead walked away with their fourth loss in league play. The Falcons made the drive to Bishop yesterday with only 8 players, which meant that the game was a forfeit, but the Broncos lent the Falcons a player every inning so the team could still play a game.

Keeping up with their trend, the Broncos held the Falcons scoreless in the top of the first before getting the bats going and bringing home 8 runs in the bottom half. The second inning was much of the same, a scoreless top half and a 10 run inning for the Broncos, until the third when Hunter Beall got to hit for the Falcons and led the inning off with a ground rule double to straight away center. The Falcons scored two runs that inning on a base hit and an error before giving the Broncos their only goose egg of the game. The fourth was uneventful for the Falcons while Bishop brought home 6 more runs in the bottom half of the inning before holding the Falcons scoreless in the last inning to win the game.

Junior Austin Thomas got the win, going 4 innings giving up one earned and one unearned run on 7 hits, 4 strikeouts, and 1 walk. Senior Brodie Maloney kept his hot streak going, having a 2-5 day with 4 RBIs and his second home run of the season. Junior Michael Kubiak also had a good day, going 3-4 with 4 RBIs, a double, and a triple, as did Trevor Murphy who went 1-1 with a 2 RBI double in his first game off the DL. Justin Yates, Jalen Watterson, Lukas Diangelo, and Matthew Rosga all had productive days, going 2-3 with 2 RBIs, 2-3 with 2 RBIs, 2-3 with 2 RBIs, and 2-2 with 2 RBIs.

The Broncos will hit the road on Friday to take on the Kern Valley Broncs, so wish them luck!
