Blake Jones Fishing Derby 50th Anniversary
On this coming Saturday March 17th will be the Blake Jones Fishing Derby. This year they will be celebrating the Blake Jones 50th anniversary even though 2017 was the actual 50th anniversary the Bishop Chamber decided to celebrate the anniversary this year.
The Derby starts Saturday morning and during the derby fishing is allowed in the reservoir and along the Owens River. Be sure to avoid the barbless, catch & release area below PVR campground.
This year there will be over $10,000 in prizes including high quality rod & reel combos, float tubes, custom lures, lodging, dinners and other goods from local businesses.
So if your into fishing and think you got the skills to reel in a big one register this Saturday for the Derby. Be sure to bring any catches you feel are prize worthy to the Tri-County Fairgrounds by 3pm to weigh your catch and see if you have won anything.

Registration, check-in, weigh-station & prize awards will be at Tri-County Fairgrounds in Bishop.
Fees: Adults $20/ Child $10
Day-of registration Starts at 6am
