Bronco Boys Basketball on to the Round of 8

The Bishop Union High School boys basketball team advances to the quarterfinals of the CIF Central Section Division 4 Championships.  The Broncos defeated Mira Monte Tuesday night 67-51 punching their ticket to the round of 8.  Bishop Union will travel to Madera South high school Thursday.  The game is set for a 6pm start.  Madera is located northwest of Fresno.

Madera South defeated Caruthers 68-42 to advance to the quarterfinals.  Madera South has a record of 16-12 and are the #3 seed in the Division 4 tournament.  Bishop Union is now 19-4 on the season and the #6 seed in the bracket.  The winner of the Bishop Union-Madera South game will face the winner of the game featuring Bakersfield Christian (#2) and McFarland (#10).  Should McFarland pull the upset, Bishop Union would host the semifinals, but a Bishop Union-BC game would be played in Bakersfield on Tuesday, February 27th.  The Division 4 finals are set for March 3rd.
