NO PLAYOFFS FOR THE RAVENS?

Cal City on Probation

After the California City Ravens beat the Frazier Mountain Falcons 165-38,  breaking the state record for most points scored in a game. The Frazier Mountain Coach Nicole Powell said “While the score shows their incredible athletic ability it also shows minimal appreciation for ‘Victory with honor”’. She also added, “The lack of sportsmanship was incredible”. Nicole Powell wrote that the Cal City ravens ran a full court man press until the final buzzer sounded. Powell ended her email stating this “Unfortunately, My team will forever remember this as unpleasant, humiliating contest that is in the record books”.

Cal City has been put on probation by commissioner Jim Crichlow due to the fact that Cal City beat Frazier Mountain by 128 points, the commissioner said “If they run the score up on a team again they will be kicked out of the Division 5 playoffs”.  This didn’t seem to slow down the California City Ravens as they went on to play the Kern Valley Broncs, Despite knowing that they are on probation they still managed to beat the Broncs 104-39. The Kern Valley Broncs Coach said the Cal City Ravens pressed until the end of the third period and kept there starters in until the four minute mark of the fourth quarter.

I emailed the commissioner asking if the California City Ravens will be in the playoff, the Division 5 bracket comes out today February 16th. We will see if the Ravens are in the playoffs.
