Bishop Broncos vs Frazier Mountain Falcons:
Varsity Soccer Review

Heading into this match the Broncos had victory in mind as they had beat their opponents 4-0 earlier in the season. The Broncos also had their sights set on capturing the High Desert League (HDL) Championship for themselves.

The Bishop Broncos played at home as they took on the Frazier Mountain Falcons on Tuesday, February 6th, at 5:00pm.The scoring was opened by the Bronco’s team captain, number 9, Diego Solorio who also managed to score a hat-trick within the first half.

The halftime score of this match was 4-0 in favor of the Broncos. The final score of the game was 5-0, which means the Bishop Broncos have gone undefeated in the HDL. This win has confirmed the Bishop Broncos as HDL Champions!

This game was also Senior night for several of the varsity Bronco’s soccer players including Carlos Laguna, Diego Solorio, Angel Cortez, Josh Hembree, Demmis Renteria, Chris Sandoval and, Alex Torres from the boys team, and Grisel Santana and Sara Voss from the girls team.

The Lady Broncos got a 1-0 win over the Lady Falcons earlier that evening. This win has confirmed an HDL Title split between the Lady Bishop Broncos and the Lady Rosamond Roadrunners.

Next up for both teams is the Division 5 CIF playoff games. The Varsity boys Broncos currently sit in second place of the Division 5 standings behind Riverdale. The Varsity girls Broncos are in second of the Lady’s division 5 standings behind Orosi.
