Lady Broncos’ Losing Streak Extends to Three Games

Last night the lady Broncos took on the Desert Scorpions here at home and lost to the visiting team by a score of 64-29. The Scorpions jumped out to an early 17-7 lead and never slowed down, taking a 32-15 lead into the second half. Continuing with what seems to be the trend in these games the Scorpions had their best quarter in the third, putting up 23 points to the Broncos 5 followed by the fourth quarter where each team scored 9 points. For the Broncos, Drew Dondero scored 7 points and 6 rebounds, Gracie Soto scored 5 points and had 13 rebounds, Manese Braithwaite scored 5 points and 1 assist, Dejia Chavez scored 5 points and had 7 rebounds, Lauren Allen scored 3 points had 11 rebounds and 4 assists, and Liza Joya and McKenna McMurtrie both scored 2 points.

The Bronco girls have hit the skids again as they have now dropped their third game in a row, going with out a win since January. With that loss, the girls have now officially missed their spot in the playoffs and have only two games remaining. The Lady Broncos will take on Cal-City here at home on Friday for Senior Night and then finish their season on the road at Frazier, Tuesday the 13th.  Wish the girls the best of luck and come send the Seniors off the right way Friday!
