Senior Profile- Lorenzo Parra

Matthew Rosga, Assistant to the Sports Editor

Lorenzo Parra is beginning to prepare for the new and exciting chapter in his life that is college. A phenomenal football and baseball player as well as a great person with an incredible sense of humor, Parra is finalizing his plans for the future and life away from home. Parra says that he plans to attend “2 years at Cerro Coso and then transfer to Cal State Fullerton” to pursue a career as a U.S. Marshall and to continue his athletic career. He chose this career path because [he’s] “always wanted to be in law enforcement or the military” so this profession would be “the best of both worlds.”

Lorenzo says that he is most excited about starting the next chapter in his life but will miss the open space that Bishop has to offer. Parra says that he feels prepared for the athletic aspect of college but not the academics that he will also have to deal with. His biggest fear for college is not “knowing what [he] wants or changing [his] mind”. Lorenzo has decided that if “school doesn’t work out [he] will enlist in the Marine Corps and serve as a U.S. Marshal.” Those that know him best will dearly miss him and know without a shadow of a doubt that he will succeed in whatever he puts his mind to.
