With this story, we are continuing our series of traditions, that we have and don’t have anymore here, at BUHS. With this story, we are going to be talking about more recent traditions from 2005 to 2016/2017.

In 2005 they had a page in the yearbook that was “Once by my side, forever in my heart” which is where students took pictures of themselves with their animals. This was represented back in 2005 and hasn’t been since. Also in 2005, they had pictures of students at their after-school jobs. Another thing that we don’t put in the yearbooks anymore is the Spelling Bee.

In 2016 they had Life is a Highway which showed students with their cars/trucks and had a contest involving the way that the vehicles looked such as, Dirtiest Vehicle, Best Off-Roading Vehicle, Most Unique, Safest Driver, Cleanest Car, Most Noticeable Vehicle, etc. They also have a page titled Remember When which showed apps and devices used in 2000 and then again in 2016. The last thing that they had that we don’t have anymore is What We Have To Say which is a page that shows apps and food places where students and teachers gave their opinions about each.

As the years go by the more we don’t include extracurricular activities and after-school jobs.As the years went by they started to take out more pages that showed student life and they still continue to do it. We feel that there aren’t enough “fun” things that show student life outside of Bishop Union High School. What’s your opinion?
