The Medical Staff of Northern Inyo Hospital District is giving a $5,000 Award for Students Pursuing a Career in Medicine to support the next generation of healthcare professionals. They are offering scholarships to a graduating high school senior that plan to pursue a career in medicine or a healthcare-related field. You must be a graduating high school senior in the Eastern Sierra region
That Plan to pursue a degree in a healthcare-related field. Be accepted to or planning to attend an accredited college, university, or training program beginning in Fall 2026. The Application Requirements are a Personal statement (500–750 words) addressing the following prompts: What inspired your interest in pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare? In what ways have you been involved in your community? How do you hope to contribute to your community or the field of medicine after completing your training? You will also need a Resume or list of activities, including: Community service. Leadership roles. Healthcare exposure like volunteering, shadowing, internships, etc. Extracurricular activities.
