Bishop Gets the Win Against Desert

The Bronco Cross Country team took on Desert here at home. For the boys Bishop scored 20 while Desert scored 40, leading to a Bronco victory by 20 points. The Bronco girls had a score of 18 and won by default because Desert did not have enough runners.

According to Heidi Eldridge, “94% of [the] team improved on their time from the previous week’s home meet against Rosamond.” On average the team improved “slightly over a minute (1:02) That is a huge improvement in one week! I couldn’t expect anything more from this team. They work hard and I am happy to see their hard work paying off. In running sometimes just beating your own personal best time is victory in itself” added Eldridge.

Brother and Sister duo Rachel and Dylan Fitt, both finished first on their races. Eldridge said that the “two are extremely dedicated to the team and both have natural talent for running, but their strong work ethic is what makes them both so successful.”
