The Broncos advance to the CIF quarterfinals with a win over Golden Valley of Bakersfield. Bishop will now host Cabrillo High School of Lompoc Friday night. This past week the Broncos offense was led by quarterback Emory Dondero’s efficient night. Emory connected on 10 of 12 passes for 179 yards and 3 touchdowns. Levi Derr caught 3 passes for 55 yards and a pair of scores. Senior Elliott Douda was the leading rusher with 86 yards on just 7 carries. Douda also returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown. Hunter Dailey carried the ball 14 times for 62 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively the Broncos were led by a pair of seniors. Malachi Orrick and Richie Talavera had big nights. Orrick made a season high 10 solo tackles and Talavera had 7 solos with a pass break up and an interception. Senior Levi Derr had 6 solos including a tackle for a loss. Senior Niko Poole had a strong game with 3 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Bishop will be hosting Cabrillo High school this Friday, Nov. 14th at 6:00pm on John Schwab Field.
