No Pre sale Wristbands Tri County Fair 2017

Joshua Hembree

This year’s 2017 Tri County Fair has announced that there will be no early bird special for those who choose to pre-order their tickets. This has personally affected myself and many other students here at BUHS because I can no longer afford to go to the fair everyday!

For entry and a wristband to ride an unlimited amount of rides is going to be a $7 admission plus a $25 fee for the wristband. However, the wristband prices for pre ordering them were only $15 last year. It has been a Bishop, California tradition for many families that live here to save money by pre ordering tickets, and this tradition has been stripped away from these families, forcing them to pay the same prices as the tourists who come pouring into town during fair time.

Time for some old fashioned Q and A with Justin Yates!

Q: How does the lack of a pre sale affect you personally?

A: “It takes more money outta my wallet!”

Q: Do you think that it was a smart business move?

A: “For the fair yeah, because they have the opportunity to make more money.”

Q: Do you believe they had the right to take away the pre sale prices?

A: “Yeah, it’s a business decision over a moral decision.”

Q: Do you think they will ever have a pre sale again?

A: “Maybe in the future, if they don’t make more money this year.”
