Everything is adorned with shimmer and gleam.
The star on the tree hazily shines like a dream.
Tinsel and garland are festooned wall to wall.
Christmas and all its beauty truly enthrall.

On the radio both holiday jazz and carols play,
with cheer and glee we drink eggnog till the end of the day.
All together we gather around a fireplace,
with sweaters and blankets we embrace.

laughter and anecdotes aplenty.
Perhaps even above and beyond twenty.
We take part in this christmas season,
so as to enjoy the love that comes to reason.
