The Broncos fell to a strong Ontario Christian football team Saturday night in Ontario, California 57-7. The Knights scored a touchdown on the first play of the game and built a 50-0 lead at halftime. The Broncos showed a strong determination playing in the second half scoring a touchdown. And holding the Knights to 7 points in the second half.
Coach Arnie Palu names four athletes, players of the game. Overall player of the game going to Austin Powel, senior running back and linebacker, who carried the ball 13 times for 70 yards. Powell added 55 kickoff return yards and had a pair of tackles on defense. Offensive player of the game went to Levi Derr, the sophomore receiver made 4 catches for 35 yards. Defensive player of the game went to Elijah Reynolds, junior Linebacker had 5 solo tackles including 2 tackles for loss. Reynolds also had a QB hurry. Special Teams honors went to Milton Michel who racked up 78 yards on three kickoff returns and handled the punting and kickoff.
