Bishop Bronco Varsity softball traveled to Boron yesterday Tuesday May, 9. With a great defensive game the Broncos still ended up losing 3 to 0. Baileigh Momberg pitched the entire game allowing 3 runs on 3 hits, 2 walks and 1 error and striking out 7 players. Defensive plays made by Riley Vannest, Dani Garcia, Katya Fierro and Jayda Jackson keep the game in reach. Offensively Baileigh Momberg and Katya Fierro both had doubles. Katya Fierro stole third base after she hit her double. Jayda Jackson was walked and Riley Van Nest reached first base on an error play.

The Softball team is in 2nd place in the High Desert League and has a 9-3 record for their games. Senior night will be played on Thursday May 11th which will be the last regular season game and after that it’s off to playoffs.
