The Bronco Girls Varsity Softball team defeated the Huskies 21-10 Tuesday at the Bishop City Park. While there was little drama in the game, the real theatrics came directly after the game when Bronco Quarterback Boden St. Marie asked star Huskie softball player Nichole Smyth to prom….she said yes. The win moves the Broncos High Desert League record to 7-2.

Bronco Coach Lisa Manulito indicates that Bishop used three pitchers in the win.  Baileigh Momberg started and left the game with an illness.  Freshman Riley Van Nest came in and tossed three innings in relief. Sienna Fuller then started the 5th inning before giving way to Van Nest who returned to the circle to close out the game.  Bronco Pitchers recorded 9 strikeouts on the day.

Offensively:

Sienna Fuller – 1 hit, 1 walk, 1 hit by pitch.  2 runs scored

Liv Ellis 2 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs scored

Kristen Sorenson 1 hit, 3 walks, 4 runs scored

Shea Ludwick 2 hits, 1 walk, 2 runs scored

Jayda Jackson 3 hits, 1 walk, 1 hit by pitch, 3 runs scored
