Axel Fierro senior season comes to an end after a drastic injury. Within 2 minutes of the season opener Axel was on the bad end of a slide tackle by the opposing team. The aggressive slide causing him to break, fracture, and dislocate his ankle causing major nerve damage and sending him to a 4 to 6 month recovery.

I got the opportunity to interview Axel and this is what he has to say.

“When it first happened I was angry and upset but realized I can’t rush nor be upset over an injury, but instead focus on a healthy recovery,” Fierra Said.

Axel is in the process of recovering and has gotten staples removed and is going to physical therapy 2 times a week. He is on crutches and still does the things he enjoys doing like supporting his team and taking pictures for himself and his favorite class the Bronco Round up.
