Senior Profile: Karina Damian

Cinthia Laguna, Reporter

Karina Damian is a 17-year-old senior here at Bishop Union High. She is a very humble person and very kind as well. For fun, Karina likes to spend time outdoors or with friends. Her favorite food is homemade tamales. Karina is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada but moved to bishop because her parents thought it was a really nice town to start a new life. She started her education here at Bishop middle of 8th grade year and she has been here ever since. After High School, Karina plans on working and then work towards pursuing her goal/career of becoming a psychiatrist. Her favorite part about High School is all the new people she met and loves how some of the teachers are super helpful to everyone, making school worth being there. Throughout her 4 years of High School, Karina’s biggest struggle was not being able to keep up with all of her assignments because she would always put them off. Her Junior year was the hardest year for her because that’s when she started to fall behind on all of her work.

What advice would you give to incoming freshman?

“Seriously do your work when its given to you, try your best to turn it in on time because honestly its hard to get caught up if you procrastinate”, said Karina as she would procrastinate to do her work and would fall behind when she didn’t get her assignments done on time.
