Cano Returns with a Big Game at Frazier

Junior Albert Cano returned to the lineup with a big game in the Broncos’ 22-4 win at Frazier Mt. Cano left the game with Kern Valley on Tuesday after a hard slide.  The Bronco infielder was back in the lineup Friday driving in 4 runs with a pair of doubles.  With the win, the Broncos stay unbeaten in High Desert League play at 8-0 and improve to 13-3 overall.  This week the Broncos travel to Mammoth on Tuesday and Rosamond for a rare Thursday matchup. 

Reese Dondero doubled when Bishop Bronco scored one run in the 1st inning. The Broncos tallied six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive Jake Frigerio, Jamisen Wolfe, Kennedy Batchelder, and Bodie Garcia all drove in runs. 

Riley Eropkin was the starting pitcher for the Bishop Broncos. Eropkin lasted one inning, allowing zero hits and zero runs while walking one. Noah Cathey threw two innings allowing 4 hits, 1 run, and striking out 7. Garcia closed with a timely strikeout.

Bishop Broncos stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Frigerio led the way with three. Bishop Broncos didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jonathan Thomson had six chances in the field.
