I asked him if transferring from roller hockey to ice hockey was difficult. Coons said,

“It was really hard to learn how to start ice hockey, stopping was really hard at first . . . but the best part was about the team. I loved my team.”

When I asked who his favorite High School Ice Hockey coach was, Coons laughed and said,

 “Coach Money, AKA Ken Carpenter.”

I asked him what his favorite team to play against was,

“The stingrays, because they were good competition and games, got physical a lot,” Coons said.

After Coons Graduates he plans on going to a community college or trade school in Texas.
