Bishop Union High School Girl’s Basketball Competes in the Mineral County Serpent Classics

The girl’s varsity Basketball team traveled to compete in the Mineral County Serpent classic. They left Thursday afternoon and stayed at the tournament until Saturday afternoon. The girls had four wins this weekend and only one lost. Their first game was 26-28 (Fallon). Angie Lent scored 14 points, Idalia Jimenez scored 6 points and Eve Dondero scored 4 points during the game.

Their second game was against Battle Mountain with a score of 35-33 resulting in the Broncos winning with Angie lent making 12 points, Idalia Jimene with 12 points, and Rylee Arcularius with 9 points. The game against Virginia City followed the Battle Mountain game and ended 38-24. In the Virginia City game, Angie Lent scored 19 points, Idalia Jimenez 9points, and Henry Charley with 8 points.

Their last two games were against ROP and Mineral County. In the ROP game Jayda Jackson scored 18 pts, Angie Lent 9 pts, Uriah Martinez 8 pts, Henny Charley 8 pts, Geneva Molina 6 pts, Idalia Jimenez 6 pts and ended with a score of 68-22. Their final game against Mineral County was 50-2 with Idalia Jimenez scoring 11 points, Geneva Molina 6 pts, Uriah Martinez 6 pts, Angie Lent 6 pts, Jayda Jackson 6 pts.

The girls varsity Basketball team will have their next game in town against Lone Pine Highschool at 7:30.
