Bishop Celebrates The Holidays With Annual Christmas Parade

The town of bishop is getting ready for the Christmas season, On Saturday December 4th at 4:30pm the Christmas parade will start at High Country lumber and end at the City park. In the parade it will show  floats, cars, mules, horses, bands, and dancers electrify the air with the sights and sounds of Christmas.

The Bishop Union High School marching band will be leading the parade, according to the bishopvisitor.com page. Additionally the Bishop Union High School marching band and Bishop middle school will assist the schools Color guard, Drill team, Cheer, and Dance team in there performances.

After the parade ends at the Bishop City park, The tree lighting will start at 5:30 they will be having cookies donated by Grocery Outlet. The salvation army will also be hosting the hot chocolate.  Due to ongoing Covid concerns, unfortunately you will not be able to seat on Santa’s lap. Bishop chamber of commerce executive director Tawni Thompson indicated that the Kilpatrick family with be honor as parade marshals in remembrance of long time community ambassador Chuck Kilpatrick.
