Bishop Broncos Score Impressive Road Win

Bishop Union High School football wins 42-22 against Fernley. The Broncos and the Vaqueros were tied at 14 after the first four drives of the game.  The Broncos would then score the next 4 touchdowns to take a commanding 42-14 lead.  Fernley added a fourth quarter touchdown making the final score 42-14.

Bronco Head Football Coach Arnie Palu credited the team’s senior leadership for the victory, “Captains Kennedy Batchelder and Colton Matteson did a great job leading a defense allowing the offense led by Jakob Redmond’s 68 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns along with 179 yards passing and 2 more scores to take control”.

Senior Zach Mojarro added a pair of rushing touchdowns giving him 11 through the first 3 games. Mojarro’s night included a 98-yard touchdown in the third quarter to help put the game out of reach.

The Bronco football team now has a 3-0 score. Their next game is against the Ridgecrest Burroughs at home for the annual “High Sierra Classic” rivalry trophy game. Bronco Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game as the Broncos are hosting a “white out” at John Schwab Field.
