Bishop Union High-School Track and Field Runs against Mammoth High-School

Bishop Union High school track and field hosted a meet against Mammoth High school Wednesday, May 5th.

The boy’s BUHS team earned a victory of 69-28 points. Braeden McGrale had an outstanding performance in the shot put and discus and earned a personal best in the shot put with a distance of 39 feet and 9.5 inches. The boy’s distance runners ran a total of 4 races each and had an array of amazing performances from two freshman boys, Joe Almeida and Alexander Adkins. Joe Almeida placed first in the long jump and triple jump. He also earned 2nd place in the 200 meters and 3rd place in the 100 meters. Alexander Adkins placed first in the 110 meter high hurdles.

The girls also had a victory of 79-10 points. Freshman Eliza Marcuson had an outstanding meet. She placed first in both the 100-meter hurdles, the 300-meter hurdles, the 200 meters, and the long jump. Sierra Burror won all four of her races as well. Junior Alexis Eide earned 1st in triple jump and 2nd in the long jump and the 200 meters. She was also apart of the 4×100 relay team. Freshman Ashley Fitt placed 2nd in all four or her races which where the 1600 meters, 800 meters, 3200 meters and the 300 hurdles.

Track and Fields next race will be in Rosmand on May 12th.
