The Bishop Bronco wrestling team had an away meet against Kern Valley last Thursday, each of our wrestlers were put into different weights filling out only 10 of the 14 weight classes. However, Cason Schmidt and John Drew both received forfeits, giving John Drew a perfect 3-0 record. 

Dominating the floor, Will Hennarty who is also 3-0 in league matches, wrestled at 128 pounds pinning his opponent in 78 seconds, followed by with a staggering performance by Jacob Lomantewa wrestling at 154 pounds, pinned his opponent in 65 seconds. Although they wrestled well, the rest of the team lost their matches.   

The final score was Broncos 24, Kern Valley 54

The next meet will be on Thursday, January 16th against Desert High School where the Broncos have a chance to bounce back after a devastating loss.
