Bishop vs. Rosamond

On Tuesday the Bishop Broncos defeated the Rosamond Roadrunners in 5 sets. Before the game Rosamond was tied for first in the HDL. The gym was full of energy, intensity and fire. The Broncos did not win the first set losing 26-24 but came back the second set winning 25-22 then losing the third set 25-11 and finally winning the fourth and fifth set 25-19 and 11-15.

I was able to talk with senior Paige Vance and ask her a few questions. I asked Vance how she felt the game went on October 8 and she replied with, “I believe it was a good win for us, it definitely helped build our confidence for the rest of the season but I think we could have played better as a team.”

I also asked her what she thought the team could’ve done better during the game, “I think we could  have played more consistently and then we might have been able to shut them out in three sets.”

Lastly, I asked her what she thought the team needed to change going into the rest of the season and she states, “I think we need to play more consistently, focus on our fundamentals and talk more on the court. If we do that I think that for the rest of the season we will be unstoppable.”

The Broncos will take on Desert Scorpions for the second time at their home on Thursday, October 10.
