The Bishop Bronco JV football team beat the Ridgecrest Burros Burroughs last Friday 56-0 here at Bishop Union High School. Coach Miers said “Ridgecrest had some good athletes at the JV level which gave our HogBelly’s a run for their money. Our defense, special teams and are ability to pass helped us win on Friday. It allowed another opportunity for our 2nd and 3rd string players a chance to play and develop. The Broncos next game is at Sierra High, Tollhouse, kickoff is at 4pm. 

Offense: 

• Luis Cruz had 3 touchdowns and rushed for a 10 yards and received 142 yards 
• Jakob Redmond 2 touchdowns and rushed for 19 yards and passed for 169 yards
• Albert Cano rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown 
• Jake Frigerio had 1 touchdown rushed for 11 yards and 16 yards

Defense: 

• Albert Cano 8 total tackles 
• Jacob Lomantiwa had a total 6 tackles
• Micheal Boothe had 2 sacks
