Bishop Drops Game Against Boron But Takes Win After Field Dedication

Bishop kicked off their Spring Break games by traveling down to Boron last Tuesday to take on the Bobcats. The boys’ hopes for a win were squashed under some uncharacteristic errors by the Broncos and some questionable officiating, all culminating in a 5-2 loss.

The Broncos then had to turn their attention to taking down the Kern Valley Broncs when they came into town on Friday to play on the newly named Tatum Family Field. The team had a lot of expectations to live up to after an emotional and deserved ceremony where the field was officially dedicated to the Tatum family. The boys got their bats going early jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, and never looking back. The team was helped out from a strong start from Ace Selters, and Cal Omohundro’s hot bat.

The boys now look to clip the wings of the Frazier Mountain Falcons this Tuesday on the road.
