Bronco Boys Have Strong Showing in Yerington

Baseball season is finally here, and the Broncos have been chomping at the bit for months now, waiting for their chance to start their season once again. The Broncos opened their Yerington tournament by getting the bats going early in a 7-0 win over Battle Mountain, and Ace Selters threw a no-hitter in his Varsity debut.

The Broncos second game of the day saw them fall by a score of 4-1 to the Yerington Lions, who were helped out by some strong pitching on their end of things. Cal Omohundro had the only RBI of the game, scoring Mark Mayhugh with his knock.

The second day saw the Broncos take home a W in each of the last two games of the tournament. The Broncos now set their sights to kicking off league play in their home opener against their league rivals, the Rosamond Roadrunners.
