LANGUAGE CLUB:  Good morning, Broncos!!  Language and Culture Club is meeting every Monday at lunch in Mrs. Greene’s room (209).  Come join us in the fun and learn about new languages and cultures.  Everyone is welcome!

JUNE LAKE JAM FEST 2:  BUHS STUDENTS get in free with your student ID.  Informational flyers about this Saturday’s event can be picked up in the main office!

VARSITY MATHLETES PRACTICE:  TODAY in Mrs. Buchholz’s Room 201.  Let’s get ready for our first meet and enjoy some pizza!

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT TOMORROW EVENING!  Encourage your parents to attend to meet your teachers and “walk in your shoes” on Wednesday, September 7th – we will start with a “welcome and introductions” on the front lawn at 5:45 PM followed with a mini bell schedule!  Hope to see all BRONCOS there!

CSF INFO:

 MEMBERSHIP MEETING – TOMORROW at lunch in the Auditorium.

 OFFICERS NEEDED:  Those who qualify for CSF may self‐nominate for leadership positions in the Guidance Office, elections will be held at TOMORROW’S meeting

 APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE in the Guidance Office and are DUE to the Guidance Office by September 22nd.  ALL 10‐ 12th graders MUST submit an application and service hour verification to become a member. Membership is NOT automatic!

NATIVE AMERICAN STUDENT ASSOCIATION (NASA)  – Wed., Sept. 7 at lunch in rm. 303 (English Bldg.) Lunch will be served.

ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE PROGRAM:  Applications are due Thursday, September 8th and interviews will be on Saturday, September 10th.  This is a great opportunity for any student to live in another country, experience another culture and become fluent in another language.  Contact DeEtte Johnston (760‐872‐2790, [email protected]) for more information about this unique opportunity (room, board, tuition, and a monthly stipend for a year abroad!)

YOUTH COALITION ON CAMPUS: Friday, 9/9, the youth coalition will be on the front lawn during lunch to share information about their activities and to share PIZZA with you.  Look for their table of the front lawn! DETENTION SCHEDULE:  Tuesdays (Mrs. Helfrich Holland, room 104); Wednesdays (Mrs. Greene, room 209); Thursdays (Mrs. Gianopoulos, room 205); Fridays (Mrs. Tonseth, room 133).

 LEO CLUB MEETING:  First meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8th @ lunch in Ms. Helfrich Holland’s room (206)!  Old and new members are welcome!  Bring your lunch and be ready to discuss how we can support our local Lions Club and the community.

SENIOR PARENTS, Mark your calendar for TWO IMPORTANT meetings:     WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th at 5:15 in the Auditorium:  Come early to Back To School Night and join other senior parents who are interested in learning more about senior activities and volunteering to make sure our annual senior events be memorable for the Class of 2017.  TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th at 6:30 in the Auditorium:  Come learn more about planning for after high school:  graduation, college applications, timelines, and more.

ASB STORE OPEN FOR BUSINESS BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 12th.  Food is ordered and arriving soon!  Thanks for being patient and for your support for BUHS ASB!

SENIOR ARTISTS:  Submit your SENIOR CLASS SWEATSHIRT DESIGN for consideration for the senior sweatshirt.  The front of the sweatshirt will be the CLASS SLOGAN DESIGN and the back will be the class year.   All designs must be submitted by Monday, September 19th.   Voting for the design will be on Tuesday, September 20th in homeroom.  ALSO, there are some seniors who haven’t stopped by the Guidance Office to sign their name to be included on the sweatshirt!

SCIENCE CAMP COUNSELORS NEEDED:   Juniors and Seniors pick up an application in the Guidance Office! NEED EARBUDS FOR YOUR CHROMEBOOK?  Stop by Mr. Rowan’s in sci. 802 and pick up a pair for only $2.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:  MOMS PACK –  TODAY, September 6th at 6 pm in the Bishop City Hall Auditorium.
