Tia Barfield Senior Profile
December 7, 2018
Tia Barfield is an exemplary new student at Bishop Union High School who has high career goals and a passion for wrestling. Barfield has just recently moved here from Victor Valley High School, home of the Jackrabbits, where she excelled as a wrestler. At her previous high school Barfield was the first girl from Victor Valley to place at state, coming in at an impressive eighth place.
As of now, Barfield’s planning on attending a UC and staying in state while pursuing her goal of having an occupation in the sciences, while also continuing her career in wrestling. The field of science is extremely broad and Barfield plans on investigating more specific fields of study further in depth in college, specifically something to do with biology. Her biggest fear about attending college is the massive weight of student loans but despite this she remains hopeful and very prepared for the coursework. Barfield’s going to “miss the mountains and nature here” that she has become familiarized with during her time spent in the Eastern Sierra.
