The Junior Varsity Bishop Broncos have had a rough last two weeks with a loss from Delano and Burroughs. They finally come back with an insane win against the Sierra Chieftains 35 to 10. They are now 4-2 in the High Desert League. They have won all there home games while loosing all there away games.

The Coaches selected Trevin Moose, Edward Ray, Jordan Cooper, and Braeden Gillem as Players of the Game against Sierra. Trevin Moose had 2 separate tackles on kickoff while Edward Ray had 2 solo tackles and 1 sack. Jordan Cooper has 11 rushes for 118 yards and 1 touchdown. Braeden Gillem has 2 touchdowns rushing with 1 rushing 2 point conversion. Coach Miears of the Junior Varsity team said this about the offense “Offensively our stock block looked well, and O-line had some great moments, running the ball work well for us too. We rushed for over 300 plus yards that day, with 4 rushing TDs.” Also he said this about the defense “Defensively had a great game with only allowing 32 total rushing yards, 2 ints, 1 fumble recovery and 4 sacks.”

Coach Miears also said there was some stuff the team still needs to work. He said “We need to work on our passing game, right now were a 1 dimensional team.  1 for 5 on pass doesn’t cut it. O-line did have some great moments but were still not pick-up the middle LB blitz. Sierra had a great short passing game that we couldn’t stop at times.” They also had 7 Penalties for 55 yards and 2 fumbles. Coach Miears noted “That will kill you in a game, We have to tighten that up…”

The Junior Varsity Broncos will be playing against Kern Valley @ 4 pm on Kern Valley football field.
