Cross Country Meet This Wednesday

Cross country started their season on Wednesday, September 12. The boys placed second with the score of 50 just behind Cal City. The teams participating in the invitational were Bishop High school, Cal City, Frazier Mountain, Boron, and Kern Valley. The top 5 for Bishop’s men’s team was Martin Cruz placing fourth with time 21:53, Gabe Bell placing 7th with time 22:36, Nathan Wesling placing 10th with time 23:59, Dominic Westervelt placing 14th with the time 25:27, and Diego Honda placing 17th with time 25:58. The girls team placed first with the score of 19. Top five girls for Bishop were Rachel Fitt placing first with the time of 23:03, Sierra Burror placing second with the time of 23:38, Hayley Yarborough placing 6th with the time of 29:26, Joy Law placing 7th with the time of 29:54, Megan Johnson placing 9th with the time of 30:42. The coach of the team Heidi Eldridge said she is very proud of her team and was glad that her team fought through the tough course in Mojave.
