Bronco Boys Get Win in Low Scoring Game

After a long off season, the Bronco boys got off to solid start with their home opener win against Ontario Christian. There is not much to be said about the offense that was on display during the game as there was no score for nearly 3 and a half quarters. With the exception of a fumbled punt that was recovered by Bishop, the offense struggled with 5 bad snaps, one of which led to a botched extra point. The only score was thanks to Luke Mcclean and three big runs he had in the fourth, including an 11 yard touchdown run that came with 9 and a half minutes left in the game. However, the defense on both sides was phenomenal, with arguably the biggest defensive play of the night coming from Mcclean and his interception on the 10 yard line in the last 30 seconds of the game, stopping the Knights’ momentum. The Broncos were then able to kneel and run out the clock to secure their first win of the season. The Broncos are set to take on the Yerington Lions tomorrow at 7.
