Golf Wins CIF Division 3

Despite the hot weather and the tough competition the Broncos bring home the Division 3 CIF title. The team traveled to hot and humid Lemoore Monday for the CIF team competition.  The Broncos were led by Senior Nic Orrill who placed 2nd overall.  Junior Carter Silva placed 3rd and Senior Ryan Kiddoo placed 7th. The two seniors on the team,  Nic Orrill and Ryan Kiddoo,  will be leaving high school as Division 3 champs.  Also contributing to the Bronco championship are sophomores Will Stang and Ethan Brown, along with Freshman Ryker Eropkin.  The team is coached by Ken Dutton.

The 2018 Golf team joins rare company with Broncos of the past who have claimed CIF titles.  Bishop Union Football won titles in 2010 in the CIF Southern Section Northeast Division and in 1957 the Broncos won the CIF Southern Section small schools division title. Girls cross country won the CIF Central Section Division 4 champions in 2016. Baseball won the title in 1969, claiming the championship of the CIF Southern Section. Cross Country champions won the CIF southern section in 1976 and 1977.  The last golf championship was just 4 years ago as the 2014 team won the CIF Central Section Division 3 title.  That championship was also won in Lemoore.
