Bronco Bats Come Alive in Win Against Scorpions

The Bronco boys went on the road yesterday to take on the Desert Scorpions for their third league game of the season. Bishop was quick to plate two runs, but Desert answered with two runs of their own to keep the game tied going into the second. Bishop put up two more in the second and held Desert scoreless in the bottom, before bringing home 9 more runs in the third. Desert scored their last run of the game in the bottom of the third, but the Broncos weren’t done, scoring eight in the fourth and three more in the fifth.

Junior Matthew Rosga got the start in the 24-3 win, going 2 innings giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits and 2 Ks, but Cal Omohundro got the win, going 2 innings, giving up no runs on no hits and 5 Ks. Brodie Maloney was offensive MVP of the game, going 5-5 with two triples and 6 RBIs. Mike Molina, Hunter Beall, Jalen Watterson, Justin Yates and Michael Kubiak also had big games, going 1-3 with a HR and 2 RBIs, 4-4 with a double and 3RBIs, 1-3 with a double and 3 RBIs, 3-4 with two doubles and 2 RBIs, and 1-2 with 1 RBI respectively.

The Broncos will look to continue their hot streak when they take on Cal city on the road this Friday, so wish them luck!
