Broncos Fall Short of Victory in Game Against the Roadrunners

Broncos Unable to Hold Lead

The Broncos went on the road this past Friday looking to beat the rival Roadrunners, but left with a loss instead. The first two innings went by quick with neither team being able to drive home a run until the third when the Broncos brought home two. Rosamond quiclky answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning, before tying it up in the bottom half of the fourth. Bishop’s biggest inning came in the fifth with a 2 RBI hit by Starting pitcher Justin Yates, and capped off by a two-run home run by catcher Brodie Maloney. Rosamond once again answered with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning before breaking out in the 6th, managing to put the Broncos down 10-6, a deficit that the Broncos could not rally back from.

Starting pitcher Justin Yates got the loss, despite pitching a good game going 5 innings giving up 6 earned runs on 8 hits, 5 Ks and 1 walk. At the plate Yates went 1-3 with 2 RBIs, and Maloney also went 1-3 with a 2 run home run.

The Broncos will take on Desert on the road this Tuesday, sow wish them luck!
