I have known Chloe since freshmen year and we’ve been great friends since, and she’s someone that everyone wants to be around. Chloe is 16 years old and is currently a junior at BUHS, and her favorite subjects are English and History. She is taking AP Physics, AP English 11, and AP U.S. History this year and she still manages to let loose and have fun in high school. Her favorite football team is the San Francisco 49ers, and her favorite hockey team is the San Jose Earthquakes. Her role model is the same person who inspired her to run, since track and cross country are extremely important aspects in her life.

I asked her about her future plans and she said, “I want to get a Bachelors of science, and a bachelors in the arts. I am planning to attend Briar Cliff University in Iowa, and run cross country and track and field. During college I will start Pre medical, and take classes to achieve a double major in English Literature, and History specializing in World history. After achieving these goals, I will move on to medical school and later become a Cardiothoracic surgeon. I want to have a little background in biomedical engineering to help innovate the Medical care system.” Her biggest achievement is being offered a 4-year scholarship to Briar Cliff University for Cross Country and Track and Field it she is able to reach their requirements.

Her greatest inspiration is Bob Landers who inspired her to do Cross Country, she said, “Even though I’m not related to him, he always treated me like family. He was a long time runner and bicyclist and even though he was really sick and passes away during the 2016 CIF Cross Country Championships, he still inspires me to run. He always pushed me to do my best and he’d come up from Big Pine to Bishop to watch the cross country team and track team run their hearts out in every race. Although it was hard to see my inspiration pass away at the same time that Bishop won the championship for CIF, I still run even if it’s not for a team.”

I asked her if she had one million dollars, what would she do with it, she said, “If I had that kind of money I don’t know what I’d do with it. Depends on when I’d get it and if I still had college debt to pay.”
Chloe’s a one of a kind person who is on her way to achieve her goals and dreams, and she isn’t one of those people who is going to give up that easily.
