BUHS hosted a home game for our Bronco Girls Tennis Team against Golden Valley with the final score being 5-4 ending with Bishop taking the win! When it comes to who won the points, 3 of the 5 total points were won on the singles side. Kinlei Romero played the #1 singles, winning with a score of 8-5. Harshvi Rauji would play #5, winning with a final score of 8-4 with Siena Pope in the #6 spot winning with a 6-0 score! There were 2 other single matches that ended with tie-breaks with Avery McGraw and Sofie Ablanedo. Avery lost her tie break with a 5-7 score along with Sofie who lost her tie-break with a score of 0-7. Last in the singles was Amelia Winter who was the #4 singles, ending with her loss at a 2-8 score.

The other 2 points that lead to our victory were led by double matches with Kinlei Romero and Avery McGraw teamed up and Aubree Frechette and Leah Morrison teamed up as well. Kinlei and Avery won with a score of 8-6 leaving Aubree and Leah to win the final point with a close score of 9-7. The last double teams were led by Azul Aranzubia and Lila Santana who lost with a score of 4-8. With our victory, Coah Cummings was enthusitic stating,”This is the first time Bishop has ever beat Golden Valley… I’m very happy with the effort this team has been showing in practice and it paid off today.” The next game will take place on Oct.1 against Kern Valley at home game at 1:00pm.
