Game between Burroughs and BUHS Girls Tennis team ends with defeat as Burroughs takes the win! Our BUHS Girls Tennis team scores 5 – 13 with 4 of the 5 points being scored with double teams. These double teams were Sofie Ablanedo and Xochitl Lopez who won both of their matches against the # 1 and # 3 teams. Sofie playes her 3rd match with Freshmen teamate Lila Santana, barely losing at a score of 5-7. Kinlei Romero and Avery McGraw who had won 2 games against the #2 and #3 teams with a score of 6-2 and 6-2, but sadly would lose to the #1 team with a score of 2-6. Continuing on to other double teams, there was Siena Pope and Amelia Winter who ended with scores of 3-6 and 2-6. Joining them were Leah Morrison and Tatum Swanson who started a new team who played for the first time together. While they played very well for their first time, they would lose with a score of 4-6.

Moving on to Singles, a point was earned by Xitlaly Solorio winning with a 6-4 score against the #2 team. She would later lose 2 other sets with scores of 0-6 and 4-6. Aubree Frechette played 2 sets but would lose with scores of 2-6 and 3-6. Lola Mullner would also lose with a score of 1-6 and 1-6.  Azul Aranzubia played the last set of the day for singles and lost with a score of 1-6. Although they lost most games, Coach Cummings would be proud of their growth,”This is a great team so far. They were complemented of their great sportsmenship. Everyone from both teams had a great match.” leaving room for these Broncos to continue to grow in their skills and win more matches in the future.
