Bishop found themselves in a 5–1 deficit going into the bottom of the fifth inning. Sadie Mairs started on the mound for the Broncos, facing 12 batters and allowing five runs on five hits. Sienna Fuller came in as relief and took command of the game, shutting down the Cal City offense by giving up no runs on three hits, walking two, and striking out seven.
The turning point came in the fifth, when Bishop sent nine batters to the plate and scored three runs on five hits, narrowing the gap to 5–4. In the sixth inning, the Broncos continued their rally. With eight players stepping into the batter’s box, they pushed across three more runs on four hits, taking a 7–5 lead. Fuller and the defense held strong in the top of the seventh to close out the win.
