The BUHS Track & Field team traveled to Bakersfield, CA on Friday, April 11th, 2025, to compete in the Lonnie Shelton Invitational, which hosted 29 schools from across the Bakersfield area. While the meet featured some great athletes and strong performances, it was unfortunately hindered by major technical issues. These delays led to a number of errors, including athletes being scratched from events without explanation. By 9:30 p.m.—nine hours after the meet began—they were still running the 300m hurdles.
Despite the chaos, BUHS stayed focused and delivered a fantastic showing, notching 16 personal records (PRs)!
