The Bronco girls fell short in their quest for a CIF girls basketball championship this past Saturday morning in Fresno. Bishop lost 34-29 to Rosamond in the CIF Central Section division 5 basketball championship game played at Selland Arena.
The Broncos held an early lead in the third match up with Rosamond. Rosamond would overtake the Broncos in the second half and hit their free throws in the final minutes to hold on for the win. Rosamond’s Nadiyah Baladez had a team high 10 points for Roadrunners and Bishop’s Kristin Allen had a team high 18 for the Broncos.
Bishop hopes next year will be their year as they return 3 of 5 starters losing Sienna Fuller and Serenity Limon to graduation.
