Due to vandalism last week in the men’s restroom, some of the school’s restrooms will be closed until repairs can be made. In order to have enough bathroom capacity, administration has temporarily placed 3 porta potties on site. In an effort to ensure the safety of our students while on campus, school administration will be increasing the accountability of students inappropriately using the restrooms.
BUHS principal says “The restroom is not an appropriate place for students to hang out, play on their phones, eat lunch or talk with friends. When too many students gather in the restrooms, it can make other students uncomfortable and even feel unsafe using these facilities. To ensure a safe and respectful environment for all students, we will be strictly enforcing our policies on restroom use.”
Students found loitering in the restrooms will receive one warning. If the behavior continues, they will be assigned a 30-minute detention for the second offence, 60 minutes for the third, and a parent meeting will be required afterwards. We believe that clear and consistent enforcement of these rules will help maintain a positive and safe school environment.
