The Bishop girls’ JV basketball team struggled to contain Rosamond’s high-powered offense, falling 32-15 in a lopsided matchup. In a game that saw Rosamond dominate from start to finish, the Bishop squad fought hard but ultimately came up short.
Despite a valiant effort from their leading scorers, the team couldn’t seem to find their rhythm. Destanee Barajas led the charge for Bishop with 4 points, followed closely by Mia Montano and Payton Andreas, who each chipped in 4 points of their own.
Ellie Boyd rounded out the scoring for Bishop with 3 points. Despite the loss, Bishop’s head coach praised the team’s determination and spirit. “We may not have come out on top, but I’m proud of the way our girls battled out there. We’ll learn from this and come back stronger next time.” The loss drops Bishop’s record, but they’ll look to come back in their next matchup this Tuesday at Desert.
