The Bishop Junior Varsity Girls basketball team had a disappointing outing at the Boron Tournament on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, losing all three of their games in a tough round-robin competition.
The Bishop JV Girls faced a challenging day on the court, struggling to find their footing against their opponents. Despite some standout performances from individual players, the team was unable to secure a win. In their first game, Bishop fell to Rosamond 28-21, with Jasmine Gonzales leading the team with 7 points. Ellie Boyd and Jenny Arias also had strong showings, scoring 6 points each.
The team’s second game saw them narrowly lose to Boron 19-18. Ellie Boyd was the top scorer for Bishop, with 8 points, while Jasmine Gonzales added 4 points.
Bishop’s final game of the day was against Kern Valley, where they lost 23-13. Ellie Boyd once again led the team in scoring, with 8 points, while Jenny Arias scored 4 points.
