On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the Bishop lady Broncos varsity soccer team hosted the Kern Valley Broncs. During their last meeting in December the Broncs came out and scored two in the first half against Bishop. The final score of that game was 3-2 in favor of the Bishop Broncos.

During this game the Lady Broncos came out and scored three in the first half. The first goal came from Alyssa Buchholz while the second and third goal was scored by Brooke Taylor

In the second half Ashley Sandoval and Ellie Crall each got a goal. Alyssa Buchholz sent a long past to Ashley Sandoval who is able to find the back of the net. On a corner kick from Alyssa Buchholz, Ellie Crall had a beautiful header into the back of the net.

Late in the second half The Kern Valley Broncs drew a penalty just outside of the penalty box. The direct free kick resulted in a goal as the ball was hidden in the sun from the goalie.

The Bishop Broncos defense and midfielders held strong significantly limiting the number of shots on goal. The final score was five – one in favor of the Bishop Broncos.Coach Bill Dailey said this year‘s team is a fun and exciting team to watch play. The team camaraderie is impressive and all players step up when they need to.
