Bishop Union High School Girls’ Varsity soccer team traveled to take on the Desert Scorpions Thursday, January 9, 2025. 17 players traveled of which nine scored. It was a team effort. After the end of the first half the score was 10 to 0. The final score was 13 to 0. Ashley Sandoval lead the team with a total of three goals and one assist. Brooke Taylor had two goals two assist, Tatum Derr scored two goals, Alyssa Buchholz scored one goal and had four assist, and Dulce Martinez, Madyn Weller, Leah Taylor, Taylor Derr, and Willow Blanks each had one goal. Katya Fierro had one assist. And Willow Blanks was named player of the game. The Bishop lady Broncos are ranked first in the High Desert league with a record of eight and one. They will travel to California City to take on the Ravens next Tuesday, January 14 and will play on Wednesday, January 15 at home against Frazier Park. The Bishop Broncos want to thank the Desert Scorpions for their hospitality and great sportsmanship.
