To start off the wrestling season, Bishop travels to Bakersfield to start their season at the Coyote Classic 2024. Bishop had a score of 15 points placing them 54 of 62 teams. Kano Graves brought home first place for his 165-pound weight class. For his first match, he had a Tech Fall in 1  minute and 30 seconds, winning 15-0. In his next two matches, he won by pin under 3 minutes. His last match ended in a pin at 3 minutes and 52 seconds. going 5-0. Unfortunately, His points did not score with the teams bringing in a whopping 32.5. Chucky Delgado, a first-year wrestler had an impressive record of 2-2 and made it to the second day of qualifications. His first match ended in tech, losing 17-2. His next matches he ran through, winning two consolations one by Tech and the next by Pin. Unfortunately, he lost his last match eliminating him from medal contention. Chucky brought home 6.5 points

Unfortunately, Jaidyn Mckellips in the 157-lb weight class went 0-2, losing both matches. Jaidyn brought home 0.0 points. Mike Trejo in the 165-lb weight class went 1-2, losing his first match but overcame that in his next match, winning by tech fall in 3 minutes and 38 seconds. During Mikey’s third match, he got disqualified due to an illegal slam. Mikey brought home 2.5 points.

Messiah Trejo who was in the 175-pound weight class brought home 6.0 points with two wins and two defeats. Both of Messi’s wins were by fall, both under four minutes. Daxen Svacina in the 175-pound weight class went o-2.
